What does TikToker 'Hai Sen Family' sell?

After days of silence and gradually removing content from all social media platforms, Le Van Hai (30 years old, residing in Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh province), the owner of the popular TikTok channel "Hai Sen Family," was detained by the Ninh Binh Provincial Police on June 16th.

During an inspection of Hai Be Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Van Phu commune, Nho Quan district), headed by director Tran Dai Phuc, authorities seized numerous cosmetic and dietary supplement products without legitimate invoices or documentation.

From 2024 to the present, this company has sold over 800,000 products through TikTok Shop, Facebook, and Shopee under the names "Hai Sen Family" and "Hai Sen". The "Hai Be Appetite Stimulating Syrup" alone has sold over 100,000 boxes.

According to authorities, the inspection results showed that the main components in the product, such as vitamin A, calcium, and vitamin C, only reached less than 70% of the declared levels. In accordance with Decree 98/2020/ND-CP, this product has been identified as counterfeit.

According to Tuoi Tre Online 's investigation , Hai Sen's products range in price from 100,000 to 400,000 VND, bearing the "personal brand" label, such as deodorant sprays, hair removal creams, exfoliants, YLE facial cleansers, and especially a line of syrups and tablets for children and women.

For example, Hai Sen deodorant for underarms and feet costs 100,000 VND for 10ml and 199,000 VND for 30ml; Hai Sen hair removal cream costs 250,000 VND; Hai Be appetite-stimulating syrup sells for 200,000 VND... Many products have recorded tens of thousands of sales on one e-commerce platform.

According to our investigation, these products are manufactured by a company located in Hoa Binh province.

The TikTok channel "Hai Sen Family" was once one of the most influential sales channels with over 2.6 million followers.

Previously, this TikToker frequently shared clips with a strong family theme and humor. After gaining a huge following, the family began to shift their business focus to selling cosmetics and health supplements.

On their platforms, the "Hai Sen Family" frequently uses images of their children and family members to advertise their products and attract buyers. Even the packaging of Hai Be Appetite Stimulating Syrup features an image of Hai's child as a "brand image." Hai also frequently has his child use the product for promotional purposes.

Earlier, starting in early June, some products from the channel were quietly removed from shopping carts amidst public outcry over product quality and suspicions of selling substandard goods.

By the morning of June 17th, this TikToker's platforms, along with his online store, were all in a "down" state.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , a leader of the Food Safety Department, Ministry of Health, said that they have received information about the incident and will advise consumers about the product, as well as recall substandard products related to the department's management.
