News, pepper price forecast tomorrow 8/2/2025

The pepper market is experiencing a strong price increase cycle in 2025, with domestic prices continuously reaching new peaks, fluctuating around VND139,000 - 140,000/kg at the end of July.

According to experts, pepper prices are likely to maintain their upward momentum, or at least stay high until the end of the fourth quarter of 2025, before showing signs of adjustment in early 2026.

Pepper price on August 2, 2025 in the country

One of the main reasons for the high pepper price is the tight supply. In Vietnam, the output in the 2025 crop year has decreased sharply because many farmers have switched to growing other crops such as durian or coffee, after a long period of plummeting pepper prices since 2018. This has significantly reduced the total pepper growing area.

The weather in key pepper growing regions such as the Central Highlands and the Southeast has recently been unfavorable for pepper plants to grow. Unseasonal rains, unstable humidity and local drought have affected flowering, fruit set and harvest yield. The output of the next pepper crop is therefore under threat, raising concerns about shortages in the coming time.

Pepper price on August 2, 2025 on the world market

Not only Vietnam, but also major pepper producing countries such as India, Indonesia, and Brazil are facing low production due to unfavorable weather and plant diseases. The simultaneous reduction in production by many countries is causing a serious shortage of supply in the global pepper market.

In parallel with the limited supply, the demand for pepper consumption from international markets is recovering strongly. Major importers such as China, the US, the EU and the Middle East are all increasing their orders again in the second and third quarters of 2025, especially for white pepper and organic pepper from Vietnam.

General future trends

In general, with the stable domestic and world pepper prices on August 1, 2025, it can be predicted that pepper prices tomorrow, August 2, 2025, will continue to remain stable, without major fluctuations.

The long-term price trend is still considered by experts, but in the short term, the market may adjust on a daily basis within a narrow range. Factors of limited supply and high demand are still the main driving force to keep pepper prices high, however, today's stability shows that the market is in a price consolidation phase before new developments.
