On the afternoon of March 11, at milestones 1090 - 1091 of Tan Thanh border gate (Van Lang district, Lang Son, Vietnam) - Po Chai (Pingxiang town, Guangxi, China), a working delegation of Lang Son province held talks and discussions with the People's Government of Pingxiang town, Guangxi, China on promoting cross-border tourism cooperation.
The delegation of Lang Son province was led by Mr. Luu Ba Mac - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with representatives of local functional departments. The delegation of the People's Government of Bang Tuong town, Guangxi, China was led by Mr. Vu Hieu Huy - Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee.

The two sides exchanged and discussed the contents related to extending the stay for tourists using tourist passes, specifically advising competent authorities to allow extending the stay for people using travel passes from 1 day to 2 days and 1 night through Huu Nghi border gate (Vietnam) - Huu Nghi Quan (China), Tan Thanh (Vietnam) - Po Chai (China) customs clearance.
The two sides discussed promoting the progress of building a cross-border tourism cooperation zone; researching and jointly implementing an electronic visa system at the Tan Thanh - Po Chai customs clearance; organizing self-driving tours across the border; developing plans to organize cultural, artistic and sports exchange events between the two sides; developing tourism products, Lang Son - Bang Tuong tourism routes, including cultural tourism routes including historical revolutionary sites...

After the working program, the two sides will coordinate with relevant agencies and units to consult and propose to competent authorities before signing a memorandum of understanding on the above contents in the coming time.
This activity aims to concretize the agreements and cooperation documents between the leaders of Lang Son province and the leaders of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China on further strengthening exchanges and cooperation in many fields, especially promoting cross-border tourism.
