According to the Kyiv Independent, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes this is a sign that Russia is still choosing "missiles and war" over the path of diplomacy .

The Kyiv Post reported that the head of Ukraine's Center for Combating Disinformation, Andrii Kovalenko, has urged citizens to closely monitor air raid warnings in the coming days.

In Kyiv, fears of a new attack have been rising for days. The warnings come amid Russia's public statements about the possibility of launching new attacks on the Ukrainian capital. Earlier, President Zelensky sent a letter to US President Donald Trump, warning of a growing shortage of air defense systems, particularly ballistic missile interception capabilities.

On May 25, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in a conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, stated that Russia planned to attack Ukraine's "decision-making centers" and recommended that Washington evacuate US embassy staff in Kyiv.

On the same day, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement advising foreign citizens, including diplomats, to leave the Ukrainian capital.

These statements were made shortly after one of Russia's largest attacks on Kyiv and surrounding areas in the past year. According to Ukraine, on May 24, Russia launched 90 missiles and 600 drones, causing widespread damage in the capital.

Zelensky stated that the latest intelligence indicates the international community needs to increase sanctions pressure on Russia. At the same time, Kyiv's partners need to expedite the implementation of their commitments to provide air defense support to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president said he had discussed the issue with Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, focusing on measures that partners could implement in the coming weeks to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.

"Ballistic missile defense systems are one of the top priorities right now," Zelensky affirmed.

Russia has not yet commented on the above information.
