A highlight of the event was the application of QR codes on each product, allowing consumers to trace its origin, understand the production process, growing region, preservation standards, and authorized distribution addresses – contributing to building trust in high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products.
More than just a place to promote products, the showroom also serves as a connecting point between managers, businesses, and consumers, sharing solutions to expand markets, enhance the value of domestic fruits, and move towards sustainable exports.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, said that Vietnam currently has more than 30 types of fruit. Each type of fruit, such as durian, mango, pomelo, etc., is closely associated with the land and soil of its region. It is a source of pride for the people of each area and contributes to Vietnam's agricultural economy.
Umbrella While abundant in variety and diverse in flavor, marketing them is another story. Along with boosting exports, the challenge is how to ensure Vietnamese consumers can enjoy the finest Vietnamese fruits. Therefore, implementing programs like the "Essence of Vietnamese Fruits" exhibition space is also a way to promote Vietnamese agricultural products and fruits for farmers and the agricultural sector.
Connecting production with the market, expanding the consumption space.
According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Vietnam currently has approximately 1.1 million hectares of land planted with potential fruit varieties, especially tropical fruits. These include: dragon fruit, mango, lychee, longan, durian, rambutan, etc., which yield high economic value.

In terms of production volume, Vietnam produces 12-14 million tons of fruit annually. This not only provides an abundant supply for domestic consumers but is also favored and highly valued by international markets. Major markets such as China, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Europe all have a presence of Vietnamese fruit.
Despite being one of the leading countries in tropical fruit production, connecting many types of fruit, especially to major cities and urban areas, to domestic markets remains challenging, even with the development of e-commerce.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Bui Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, said that the unique soil and climate characteristics have created a quality and flavor of Vietnamese fruits that not every country can match.
Fruit cultivation is currently only at the production stage. However, ensuring that the produced products meet the needs, tastes, and distribution channels is also a crucial issue. Therefore, connecting government agencies, localities, businesses, distribution systems, cooperatives, and farmers is extremely important to exchange information on trends in agricultural product market development, especially solutions to increase value, boost domestic consumption, and expand export markets.
On the other hand, each seasonal fruit possesses its own unique flavors and nutritional values, reflecting the diversity of nature. Choosing seasonal fruits not only allows consumers to enjoy the freshest produce but also supports farmers in sustainable development.
"Cooperatives are usually small in scale, but the combined efforts of these cooperatives will create a large space and output. From there, we can promote and build brands for Vietnamese agricultural products and fruits," said Mr. Bui Nguyen Anh Tuan.
The exhibition space promises to contribute to honoring the cultural, economic, and ecological value of Vietnamese fruits, raising public awareness about Vietnamese products, promoting domestic consumption, developing the domestic market, and spreading pride in Vietnamese agricultural products.
| According to the head of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, the Department is striving to enhance the role of the Authentic vs. Counterfeit Goods Exhibition Room at 62 Trang Tien Street (Hanoi), with the goal of building it into a reputable address, providing domestic consumers and international tourists with the characteristics to identify genuine and counterfeit goods. |
