BHG - In response to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, besides the support from various levels of government and localities, each house that has been and is being built in Nan Ma commune (Xin Man district) also benefits from the collective efforts of the entire community. In particular, the sharing of neighbors in the villages and hamlets of the commune has helped many families quickly realize their dream of "settling down and making a living" in their new homes.
In early June, we had the opportunity to visit the family of Ms. Lu Thi Xay in Coc Pu village, just as her new house had finished its foundation and yard. Although the house was still somewhat messy, she excitedly spoke about her family's journey in building the house. Ms. Xay shared: “My family consists of only my mother and me. When the government provided support to replace our temporary house, I was overjoyed. We are a small family and don't know anything about construction, so during the construction, we received a lot of help from the villagers. Whenever we needed assistance, everyone was ready to help, each doing their part to ensure the house was completed quickly.”

Ms. Xay's house is located far from the main highway, and the road leading to it is a steep dirt road, making it difficult to transport building materials. Therefore, upon hearing that the family was starting construction, the people of Coc Pu village came together to help transport materials and assist with even the smallest tasks. Thanks to the help of the villagers, Ms. Xay's family's house was completed after more than a month of construction.
Like Ms. Xay's family, Mr. Hang Seo Dia's family in Nan Ly village also benefited from the National Target Program's program to eliminate temporary housing, and their house is currently under construction. Since the start of construction, his family has received help from villagers, who transported bricks and cement to assist with foundation work and wall construction. Mr. Dia shared: "With everyone's help, the time to complete the house has been shortened, and our dream of a beautiful, spacious house is about to become a reality."
In Nàn Ma commune, 82 households are benefiting from the policy to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Of these, 30 households are eligible under Directive No. 42/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, and 52 households are eligible for housing support under the National Target Program. With the joint efforts of the entire political system and the people in the area, 37 houses have been completed and put into use to date.
