In 2005, under the dedicated guidance of his teacher, Mr. Nguyen Hai, he diligently honed his photography skills and accumulated experience. Combined with his natural talent for the profession, he earned the trust and choice of his clients. Furthermore, years of filming and photographing weddings, traveling to many places, observing, experiencing, and feeling the life around him, provided him with abundant inspiration, giving him a multifaceted perspective on everyday life and providing him with many new themes for his creative work. Therefore, whenever he has free time after his main job, he fully dedicates himself to his passion for artistic photography. He is Tang Phi Tuan, born in 1971 in Ben Tre province, and a member of the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Literature and Arts Association.

His works mostly depict Ben Tre, with free subject matter, imbued with a love of life and vivid perspectives on all aspects of everyday life in the coconut land: peaceful countryside scenes with tall coconut trees casting shadows, the coconut fiber making industry, the processing of coconut meat for export, festivals, the cultivation of ornamental flowers and fruits in the orchards, traditional honey harvesting, straw markets... Through these works, he practically honors the beauty of agriculture, promotes tourism, and strongly encourages the new rural development movement in the locality.

“During the creative process, my favorite work is ‘Harvest Season.’ This work won second prize in the photo contest in response to the 1st Vietnam Fruit Festival in Tien Giang province, was exhibited in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta region, and won the C prize at the 2010 National Literature and Arts Awards. I plan to photograph more coconut trees – a key potential resource of Ben Tre province; at the same time, I also want to challenge myself more, creating works focused on the islands and seas of our homeland,” Tang Phi Tuan shared.
