Over two days (April 22-23), 60 students from grades 4 and 5, all from ethnic minority groups in the three districts of Dong Xuan, Son Hoa, and Song Hinh, will participate in this competition and will have the opportunity to visit and experience firsthand the following historical sites: Le Thanh Phuong Temple, Go Thi Thung Tunnel, An Tho Citadel - the birthplace of Comrade Tran Phu, the first General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam , and the Ganh Da Dia scenic spot. Following this, the students will write an essay expressing their feelings and impressions of the places they visited. Before the competition concludes, they will participate in a cultural exchange with students from An Ninh Tay Primary School (Tuy An district).
The competition helps ethnic minority students expand their Vietnamese vocabulary and gain more information about the history, traditions, and culture of their homeland. The competition aims for the holistic development of students, contributing to fostering love for their homeland, gratitude, and national pride in the younger generation. This is also a practical activity within the series of programs implementing the Project to Strengthen Vietnamese Language Skills for Preschool Children and Students in Ethnic Minority Areas.
