On June 29th, the Ninh Binh Provincial Tourism Association participated in a program to survey and connect inter-regional and inter-provincial tourism products in Nam Dinh.

The program was attended by representatives from the Tourism Associations of the Red River Delta, Northwest and Central provinces, tourism service businesses, and travel agencies from many provinces and cities.

Nam Dinh is a region with rich potential for developing various types of tourism: cultural and spiritual tourism, sightseeing, ecological research, resort and beach tourism, rural village experiences, and traditional craft villages... with many tourist areas and attractions of varying sizes.

Over the years, the locality has also formed and developed tourism routes based on tourism development cooperation programs with other provinces, including Ninh Binh . These cultural and ecological tourism routes have initially attracted a considerable number of domestic and international tourists.

However, Nam Dinh's tourist areas and attractions are still operating in a monotonous manner, making them unattractive to visitors; it is difficult to attract travel businesses to include them in tour programs and develop them into appealing destinations. Organizing linkages between Nam Dinh's tourist areas and attractions with other provinces in general, and Ninh Binh in particular, still faces many difficulties and limitations.

During the program, the delegation surveyed several tourist attractions in Nam Dinh province, including: Luu Gia Trang Eco-tourism Area, a complex of restaurants, cafes, and entertainment located along the Dao River; Co Le Pagoda - a unique and famous Buddhist architectural complex in Vietnam; and Hung Nghia Church - an ancient church with magnificent and splendid architecture, which has become a sensation in the tourism community recently with its beautiful photo spots resembling those in the West...

These tourist destinations have great potential and advantages in developing ecotourism and cultural-spiritual tourism, but they lack linkages and cooperation with travel businesses, thus limiting tourism activities.

Through this survey, travel businesses in Ninh Binh province are given the opportunity to learn about and research inter-provincial and inter-regional tourism products. This will strengthen linkages and cooperation for more sustainable tourism development.
