In order to promote a "reading culture" in schools, recently (October 19th), the Binh Thuan Provincial Library, in coordination with Hong Liem 3 Primary School in Hong Liem commune, Ham Thuan Bac district, organized a "Reading Festival" for students.
At the event, students were introduced to the meaning, role, and benefits of regular reading; they were guided on how to search for information and choose books to read from a total of more than 2,500 titles stored on the provincial library's "Mobile Library Vehicle". This helped them access many good, useful books suitable for their age.
On this occasion, the Provincial Library also organized many fun and wholesome games for students; awarded 3 scholarships to poor students and 1 bicycle to a student from a disadvantaged background at the school. It is known that the "Reading Festival" is an activity regularly organized by the Provincial Library to help students understand the value of reading, form reading habits, develop reading skills, and practice a reading culture. This aims to inspire a love of learning and reading, apply that knowledge to their studies, enhance their understanding, and contribute to their education and character development.
