Successfully organized the Asian Age Group Wrestling Championships.

On June 3rd, the U17 beach wrestling competitions at the Asian Age Group Wrestling Championships concluded successfully after a period of exciting competition at My Khe Beach (Son Tra Ward).

As a result, the Vietnamese wrestling team won 2 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals, and 3 Bronze medals. The Gold medals were won by athletes Lo Thi Hong (women's 45kg) and Bui Ngoc Thao Thom (women's 55kg).

Notably, these events are included in the 2026 Youth Olympic Games, which will take place in Senegal in October. Currently, the Vietnamese wrestling team has been awarded 3 official slots to participate in the 2026 Youth Olympics. Prior to beach wrestling, indoor wrestling events for the U17 and U23 age groups were also successfully held at the Tien Son Sports Complex (Hoa Cuong Ward).

According to representatives of the Vietnam Wrestling Federation, the well-equipped facilities and the support of the Da Nang authorities contributed to the success of the tournament, leaving a positive impression on athletes and coaches. The success of this tournament provides a basis for the federation to continue choosing Da Nang as a destination for future international wrestling competitions.
