Attending the discussion were veterans, former youth volunteers, union members, youth of Son La College and students of Ngoc Linh Primary School.
At the seminar, delegates and members of the Youth Union and young people heard the real and touching memories of the battlefield from former youth volunteers Lo Van Thich, former Chairman of the Provincial Association of War Veterans and veteran Lu Van Han, who participated in the fight to protect the northern border; at the same time, together, they reviewed the arduous but glorious journey of a "fire and flower" time.
The seminar program aims to concretize the project of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union participating in preserving and propagating historical stories with the theme "Stories of the Fire and Flower Period" launched by the Central Secretariat of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. This is an occasion to remember and show gratitude, an opportunity for today's youth to directly listen and understand more deeply about the history of the nation, thereby fostering love for the homeland, national pride and a sense of responsibility in inheriting and promoting revolutionary traditions.
On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee launched an action movement of Son La youth with the theme: "Following in the footsteps of our predecessors - Doing thousands of good deeds, contributing to building a rich and civilized homeland of Son La". The movement focuses on 3 key contents: Cultivating morality and talent; volunteering for the community; promoting youth in digital transformation and economic development; affirming the determination of Son La youth in studying, practicing, following the example of their predecessors to contribute to building an increasingly rich and beautiful homeland.
