The Party Committee of Phu My Bac commune currently has 41 subordinate branches and party committees with 1,169 party members.
Over the years, the socio-economic development of the communes has achieved many comprehensive results. By 2025, the total value of products is estimated to reach over 1,360 billion VND, with an average growth rate of over 9.4% per year. The infrastructure system has been invested in synchronously, and the appearance of rural areas has changed significantly. Many key projects such as the Hoc Mon reservoir, Van Dinh reservoir, Tra O bridge, etc., not only serve agricultural production but also create momentum for trade and tourism.
Agricultural, forestry, and fisheries production remains the foundation. Grain production averages nearly 20,000 tons per year, and forest cover reaches 43.41%. Traditional crafts such as vermicelli, rice paper, and reishi mushroom production continue to be maintained, contributing to job creation and increased income for the people.
The sectors of trade, services, accommodation, and transportation have developed diversely, with tourism showing initial signs of improvement, using Tra O Lagoon as a connecting hub.
The first Party Congress of the commune set many important goals for the 2025-2030 term, such as: a product value growth rate of 9.1-10.2% per year; by 2030, industry, construction, and services will account for approximately 61% of the economic structure; budget revenue will exceed 37 billion VND; average income will reach 66 million VND/person/year; and the commune will strive to achieve advanced new rural standards.
In the social sector, the goal is to achieve 95% of the population participating in health insurance by 2030; reduce the poverty rate to 0.36%; ensure 100% of schools meet national standards; and ensure 100% of health stations have doctors. Environmental indicators are also given importance, especially ensuring 100% of rural residents have access to safe water.
Mr. Le Phuc Thoai, former Secretary of the Party Committee of My Chau commune (formerly), expressed his confidence: “The merger of the three communes into Phu My Bac commune is a correct step, creating a larger scale and stronger resources, especially in building advanced new rural areas and developing services and tourism. I believe that, with its tradition of unity and enthusiastic staff, Phu My Bac will become a bright spot in the province's development.”
The First Congress is taking place in a special context. This is both an opportunity and a challenge. It's an opportunity because we can concentrate resources and create new momentum. The challenge is to quickly stabilize the organization, maintain unity, and build consensus among the people. With high political determination, the Party Committee of the commune will focus on developing sustainable agricultural economy, exploiting tourism potential, promoting digital transformation, maintaining national defense and security, and building a clean and strong political system.”

The Congress also outlined three breakthroughs: administrative reform and comprehensive digital transformation; investment in the development of a synchronous and modern infrastructure; and the development of high-quality human resources linked to economic restructuring. These are strategic directions that meet the requirements of sustainable development and integration.
The Congress also identified the key task as building a clean, strong, and comprehensive Party organization; ensuring that over 90% of Party organizations and members successfully complete their tasks annually; and achieving a new Party member recruitment rate of 3% or higher. Along with this, it emphasized reforming leadership methods, strengthening inspection and supervision, and maintaining strict discipline and order within the Party.
With the right direction, the determination of the Party committee, and the unity of cadres, Party members, and the people, Phu My Bac is expected to become a dynamic and sustainable developing region.
