Seminar “Dang Thuy Tram – The Flame of Twenty Years Shines Brightly”

On the morning of June 19th, at Dang Thuy Tram Medical College, the Quang Ngai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Magazine, organized a seminar titled "Dang Thuy Tram – The Everlasting Flame of Twenty Years Old".

Representatives of the family, the sister of Dr. Dang Thuy Tram, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , speakers, researchers, delegates, sworn siblings, and officials who worked with the martyr Dang Thuy Tram in the locality, reminisced about the life, career, ideals, and revolutionary ideals of the Heroine, Martyr, and Doctor Dang Thuy Tram. Introducing the third diary of Dang Thuy Tram, to be released in 2025, with a newly published portion of her posthumous works, provided an opportunity to look back at the complete story of an ordinary person and soldier during the war, further clarifying the portrait of Dang Thuy Tram as a young woman of Hanoi, with her intellect and culture, before volunteering for the battlefield and leaving behind diary entries that inspire the future.

The seminar also included discussions on the preservation and promotion of the Dang Thuy Tram historical site in conjunction with tourism development. This was not only an opportunity to reflect on the short but brilliant life of Dr. Dang Thuy Tram, but more profoundly, it served as a reminder of the sacred values ​​of independence, freedom, and peace. The seminar commemorated the 55th anniversary of the heroic martyr and doctor Dang Thuy Tram's sacrifice, demonstrating the principle of remembering one's roots and acknowledging her immense contributions. Through this, the younger generation, living in peacetime, will be inspired with a sense of responsibility, learn to appreciate what they have, and be ready to dedicate themselves to living up to the legacy of those who came before them.
