Mr. Nguyen Khac Dong, General Director of An Phong Construction Joint Stock Company, the project's general contractor, said that this building is among the tallest in the city, so it faced many challenges during construction as it has 5 basements, with 10,000 cubic meters of concrete. This is the largest batch of concrete ever. The building's 5 basements are directly connected to Ba Son station of metro line 1. When metro line 1 is completed, residents and passengers can walk from the building to the subway and vice versa quickly and easily because Ba Son station is also located in front of the building. Regarding underground space development, Mr. Truong Trung Kien, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City, said that when constructing metro lines, it is necessary to comply with relevant regulations, consult many parties to evaluate, determine the influence corridor, and the protection area to avoid impacting the common underground space of the city. In the general urban planning project being adjusted, the content of underground space will be fully implemented. The city will determine which areas are encouraged to develop, which areas need to be restricted, and which areas are not allowed to develop horizontally, vertically, and in depth. At the same time, we also calculate the connection of underground space of works with public underground space.
