According to Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, a member of the National Election Council, the election atmosphere was very lively and enthusiastic, showing that this momentous political event was truly a national celebration.

The political security situation, public order, and social safety across the country remained stable on election day. "Up to this point, no complex incidents or unusual situations affecting the election process have been recorded," the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed.

Following March 15th, the National Election Council and local election committees continued to implement many important tasks to complete the election process in accordance with the law, ensuring that the results truthfully reflect the will and aspirations of the voters.

According to National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh, the National Election Council's plan suggests that March 22nd could be the date for announcing the election results. The National Election Council will also hold a press conference to publicly inform the entire nation about the election results.

The election results are determined by the majority rule. A candidate is considered elected when they receive more than half of the total valid votes in their constituency and have a higher number of votes than the other candidates.

If the required number of representatives are not elected, a supplementary election may be held. If serious violations of election laws occur or the results do not accurately reflect the will of the voters, the competent authority will decide to hold a re-election.

864 candidates are running for election to choose 500 representatives for the 16th National Assembly in 182 constituencies nationwide.

The first session of the 16th National Assembly is scheduled to open on April 6th. During this session, the National Assembly will review the organizational structure, consolidate key leadership positions in the State, and decide on several important issues for the new term.
