(Dan Tri) - According to the plan, these 5 buildings will be directly connected to metro line 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien. To date, one building has had a direct connection, and one building has had its construction suspended for many months.

Metro Line 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien has a total length of nearly 20km with 14 stations. Of which, the elevated section is over 17km with 11 stations, the underground section is nearly 3km with 3 stations. The line is planned to extend from Suoi Tien station (HCMC) to Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces in the future.

According to the plan, 5 buildings are directly connected to metro line 1 including Ben Thanh quadrangle project (The Spirit of Saigon), UnionSquare Tower, VPBank Tower, Marina Central Tower and Vinhomes Golden River in Saigon - Ba Son Complex.

The Spirit of Saigon project is planned to be directly connected to Ben Thanh Central Station, implemented by the investor Saigon Glory Company Limited. However, the project has been suspended for many months now.

The Spirit of Saigon has an extremely favorable location, owning 4 street frontages: Pham Ngu Lao - Calmette - Le Thi Hong Gam - Pho Duc Chinh (District 1), opposite Ben Thanh market, the surrounding real estate price is traded from several hundred million VND to nearly a billion VND/m2.

The basement of the Union Square Tower project is directly connected to the City Theater Station, along with the exit at Lam Son Park and other exits facing Pasteur Street. This building has a strong French architectural style, is 6 floors high, is a high-end commercial center in Ho Chi Minh City with 4 facades: Dong Khoi - Le Loi - Nguyen Hue - Le Thanh Ton, opposite the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Another project, VPBank Tower, is also connected to Ba Son station via a sidewalk near the building. With a prime location on Ton Duc Thang Street, right in the administrative and economic center of Ho Chi Minh City, next to the Saigon River, this high-end office building has 26 floors above ground and 5 basements.

Ba Son Station also connects to Saigon - Ba Son Complex with 2 entrances and exits at 2 project locations including Marina Central Tower and Vinhomes Golden River.

Marina Central Tower has 55 floors above ground and 5 basements, located next to Ba Son Bridge and adjacent to the Marriott and JW Marriott branded apartment towers at Grand Marina Saigon. This project has just been topped out and is expected to open in 2025.

Marina Central Tower office tower and commercial center is also the first project in Ho Chi Minh City to connect the basement to metro station No. 1.

Vinhomes Golden River is also connected to metro line 1 via Ba Son station. The project has a frontage along the Saigon River and Nguyen Huu Canh Street.

According to the plan, Metro Line 1 will be put into operation in July this year after 12 years of construction. However, according to the latest announcement, the project will have to postpone the trial operation to October and will last for about 2 months. The reason is that problems related to the contractor and general consultant have caused the training work to be delayed.
