On the evening of December 11, at the Hanoi Opera House, the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists will organize the Opening Ceremony of the exhibition and announce the awards for the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024".
After nearly 7 months of launching the contest from March 20, 2024 to October 15, 2024, the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" has attracted more than 10,000 photo and video entries from more than 6,800 domestic and international authors. Of which, works from foreigners and overseas Vietnamese account for 15% of the total authors.

From there, the Jury and Organizing Committee selected 60 videos and 150 typical photos to display at the exhibition, of which 34 best works were awarded. According to the assessment, each work is a story, an impressive moment or carries a meaningful message about love for the homeland, Vietnam with pride, love and aspiration for a prosperous and happy life across the S-shaped strip of land of Vietnam. Specifically, at 20:00 on December 11, 2024 at the Hanoi Opera House, the Opening Ceremony of the exhibition and announcement of the awards for the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" will be held along with a special art program. The above event will be broadcast live on VTV4 Foreign Television Channel of Vietnam Television, livestreamed on VTV Digital channel and the Vietnam Image Promotion Platform (https://vietnam.vn). The Department of External Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that after the Award Ceremony, outstanding works will be selected and continue to be exhibited both domestically and internationally. These exhibitions aim to serve the communication and promotion of Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights in Vietnam in 2025. The next exhibition will be held in Thailand from December 23 to December 27.

The above contest is one of the activities to implement the Communication Project on Human Rights in Vietnam approved by the Prime Minister on September 14, 2022.
