Although we did not meet expectations at the recent Paris Olympics, there were still some bright spots to be noted."

At 9:45 PM on September 12th, in an interview with Thanh Nien Newspaper, expert Park Chung-gun said: "I will consider the proposal from the Department of Sports and Physical Education. In my opinion, there are terms that need careful consideration and discussion. For example, the goal of winning 3 gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games is within reach. The goal of winning 2 gold medals at the 2026 Asian Games is also achievable. However, an Olympic gold medal is not easy to achieve."

I believe that Vietnamese shooting needs more comprehensive investment. A lot of investment is needed if we want to win gold medals. I will discuss this thoroughly with them and frankly state my opinion.

Specifically, the Department of Sports and Physical Education proposed signing a contract with Mr. Park Chung-gun in two phases:

- 2024: from October 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024

- 2025: from January 3, 2025 to December 31, 2025

Specifically, the key objective assigned to Hoang Xuan Vinh's South Korean coach is to win 1 to 2 gold medals at the 2026 Asian Games and 1 gold medal at the 2028 Olympics.
