On the occasion of Comrade Tamura Tomoko's election as Chairperson of the Presidium of the 29th Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Japan on January 18, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a congratulatory message.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong congratulated the 29th Congress of the Communist Party of Japan on its successful conclusion and Comrade Tamura Tomoko on being elected as Chairperson of the Presidium of the 29th Central Committee.

The General Secretary highly appreciated the fact that the Japanese Communist Party, over the past 102 years, has consistently pursued the goal of democratic revolution, progressing towards socialist revolution, steadfastly opposing war and hegemony; and has attached great importance to developing socialist theory, building its guidelines, program, and organization.

The General Secretary expressed his confidence that the Communist Party of Japan would successfully implement the Resolution of its 29th Congress, grow stronger, enhance its prestige and position in Japanese society, and make positive contributions to peace , friendship, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong expressed his pleasure at the continuously strengthening and developing traditional solidarity and friendship between the two Parties; affirming his readiness to work with the new leadership of the Communist Party of Japan to maintain exchanges and contacts, enhance theoretical exchanges, and coordinate at multilateral forums.
