General Secretary To Lam visits Malaysian National Oil and Gas Corporation

According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, on November 22, in Kuala Lumpur, within the framework of his official visit to Malaysia, General Secretary To Lam visited the Malaysian National Oil and Gas Group (Petronas) - the leading group in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in terms of brand value and among the top 10 oil and gas companies in the world .

General Secretary To Lam congratulated Petronas on its achievements and highly appreciated Petronas Group for accompanying Vietnam from the early stages of innovation and international integration, as well as the achievements of more than 30 years of cooperation between Petronas and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN). Emphasizing the important role of the oil and gas industry in energy security and supply chain development in the national strategy, General Secretary To Lam asked Petronas to soon develop a strategy, promote investment and business in Vietnam in accordance with the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership recently established between the two countries, and strengthen cooperation in the field of new energy. General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Vietnam will continue to perfect the legal framework, improve the investment and business environment, and simplify administrative procedures to create maximum convenience for businesses to operate effectively and sustainably in Vietnam.

Petronas Chairman Yang Mulia Tan Sri Tengku Muhammand Taufik thanked General Secretary To Lam for taking the time to visit; reported to General Secretary To Lam on the major achievements of cooperation in Vietnam; expressed appreciation for investment opportunities and highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil and gas and renewable energy.
