Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation performs well in production and business tasks.

On June 7, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen had a working session with the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation (EVNHCMC). Also attending the meeting were comrades: Bui Xuan Cuong, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Nguyen Manh Cuong, member of the City Party Committee, Chief of the City Party Committee Office; leaders of the City Party Committee's departments and branches; representatives of the city's departments and branches.

Reporting on Party building work in the period of 2020 - 2022 and the first 5 months of 2023 at the working session, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNHCMC Pham Quoc said: Currently, the Party Committee of the Corporation has 24 party organizations, including 22 grassroots party organizations, 2 grassroots party cells; 85 party cells directly under the grassroots party organizations with a total of 1,424 party members. In recent times, Party building work has continued to receive attention and direction, implemented synchronously many solutions and achieved good results; political and ideological education work associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle has been focused on and has had many positive changes; the organization of research, study and dissemination of the Party's Resolutions has been seriously and effectively implemented.

Regarding production and business activities in the period of 2020 - 2022 and the first 5 months of 2023, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of EVNHCMC Nguyen Van Thanh said that in the past time, the Corporation has ensured safe, stable and continuous power supply to serve the prevention of epidemics and restore socio-economic development. Regarding smart grid development, it is ranked 47/94 power companies in the world in 2022 (ranked 2nd in ASEAN).

Regarding business and customer service, up to now, 100% of online services are at level 4 (19/19 services), nearly 100% of smart meters; the electronic payment rate has reached 99.5% of customers and 99.3% of the amount.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and exchanged solutions to resolve EVNHCMC's recommendations. Some of the contents were related to the preparation, approval and adjustment of 1/2000 scale zoning plans and 1/500 scale detailed plans in areas related to power grid projects; Procedures for approving investment policies for power grid construction investment projects; Auction of land use rights for land allocated for power grid construction investment projects; Land allocation for power grid projects, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee acknowledged and commended the results achieved by the EVNHCMC Party Committee during the half-term of implementing the Resolution of the EVNHCMC Party Congress.

After half a term of implementing the Resolution of the 3rd Party Congress of the Corporation, 10/11 targets have been achieved and met the requirements. The Corporation's Party Committee has closely followed the guidelines and policies of the Party Resolution; promptly disseminated them widely to raise awareness among all cadres and party members of the Party Committee. Along with that, there is an action program in each field.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen highly appreciated the efforts of EVNHCMC in carrying out production and business tasks, having an action plan with specific tasks. During the implementation process, there were innovations, creativity, closely following the direction of superiors and closely coordinating with other sectors, with key indicators leading the electricity sector nationwide. In particular, it is necessary to mention the development of smart grids, digital transformation, and application of information technology of EVNHCMC...

Talking about the key tasks in the coming time, comrade Nguyen Van Nen noted that in the current period, the Corporation must not be subjective, must anticipate possible situations, proactively have adaptation plans to avoid incidents related to production, business and daily life of the city's people.

He hoped that EVNHCMC would promote the achieved results and continue to develop to be worthy of the trust and expectations of the Party Committee, government and people of the city and the electricity industry nationwide.
