Attending the conference were leaders and commanders of the General Department of Logistics, the Logistics Academy; representatives of commanding agencies, specialized departments and functional departments of the two units.
The report on the results of the coordination work presented by Colonel Vu Quang Mien, Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Department of Logistics, showed that, implementing the coordination program between the two sides, every year, before students of the Logistics Academy's courses go on internship, the General Department of Logistics has a document directing the logistics sector of all military units to create favorable conditions and assign tasks for students to approach jobs suitable to their internship titles, grasp and accumulate practical experience to graduate and perform well the assigned tasks.
The General Department of Logistics regularly exchanges with the Logistics Academy about feedback from graduates; opinions from unit commanders about the actual work of logistics officers and training programs, helping the academy supplement and perfect the training program system to meet mission requirements.
On the side of the Logistics Academy, it has coordinated well with the General Department to compile the Logistics Work Regulations, Logistics Staff Work Regulations and regulations of specialized fields as well as the system of logistics documents, logistics - technical documents; documents, training lectures, assurance work, building other logistics sectors...
In addition to the above results, the General Department of Logistics has participated with the Logistics Academy in building training program output standards to meet the training objectives of the subjects; supplementing and perfecting the content and training program for platoon-level logistics officers in the direction of standardization, modernization, and interconnection between levels and grades.
In the field of scientific research, the scientific councils of the two sides have promoted their roles, functions, tasks, and coordinated effectively to improve the quality of the Military Logistics Science Council of the Ministry of National Defense ; organized implementation to ensure good progress and quality of topics according to the task announcement for the period 2021-2023 of the General Department of Logistics.
In addition to the above contents, the two sides have effectively coordinated to carry out many other tasks in the field of military logistics such as organizing training and sending forces to participate in the "Field Kitchen" team in the International Military Sports Festival (Army Games); coordinating to build short-term training programs on logistics and finance; organizing logistics training for officers of the Lao People's Army...
After listening to the center's report and the opinions of the delegates, the leaders of the General Department of Logistics and the Logistics Academy continued to affirm and clarify the outstanding results in the coordination work of the two sides; pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome; agreed on the content and major orientations in the coordination work between the two units in the coming time. Accordingly, the General Department of Logistics and the Logistics Academy will increase the provision and exchange of information on logistics.
Regarding the training and development of logistics officers and staff, the two sides focus on the task of building, revising and supplementing training programs, curricula and documents for officers in accordance with projects on education and training innovation in the Army. In the immediate future, focus on training and developing mid-level logistics and technical leaders (brigades), divisions and the team of teachers and educational managers of the Logistics Academy and 2 logistics colleges of the General Department. Develop plans and create conditions for teachers of departments to do fieldwork at a number of units in the General Department of Logistics; ensure guest lecturers at the academy and 2 logistics colleges, and logistics training classes.
In the field of scientific research, the two sides continue to coordinate in compiling, amending and supplementing the Logistics Work Charter, the Logistics Staff Work Charter and specialized regulations; compiling logistics training documents, regular and combat logistics - technical document templates at all levels; coordinating research on scientific topics related to logistics support work and implementing the plan to digitally transform the Army's logistics work in the 2022-2025 period, with a vision to 2030...
At the conference, witnessed by delegates, Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang and Major General Phan Tung Son, on behalf of the leaders of the two units, signed a coordination program for the 2023-2025 period.
