In the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 9 (Ragasa), the authorities are calling on people to immediately call Hotline 112 for timely support in case of emergency. This is the national emergency number, operating nationwide since August 23.

Hotline 112 receives information about incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes, risks and requests for assistance from organizations and individuals, then connects to functional forces to deploy rescue.

The 112 centers are located at the Military Commands of provinces and centrally-run cities, the Hanoi Capital Command and the Ho Chi Minh City Command. The switchboard operator is responsible for recording information, reporting immediately to the commander, and forwarding it to the responsible authorities for handling.

In case of exceeding local capacity, information will be reported to the National Civil Defense Command to promptly mobilize support.
