Mr. Pham Quoc Thanh, General Director of HDBank, has just registered to buy 2 million more bank shares for investment purposes.
The transaction is expected to take place by order matching or negotiation, between November 23 and December 22.
Currently, the General Director of Ho Chi Minh City Development Bank (HDBank) is holding more than 2.646 million HDB shares, equivalent to 0.09% ownership of this bank. If the transaction is successful, Mr. Thanh will increase the number of shares held to more than 4.64 million shares, equivalent to 0.16% ownership.
On the other hand, also during this period, Ms. Pham Thi Truyen, who is related to Mr. Pham Quoc Thanh, registered to sell almost all 290,000 HDB shares she was holding.
HDB shares are currently trading at around VND18,000 per share, about 13% lower than the peak. It is estimated that at this price, HDBank's CEO will spend about VND37 billion to buy 2 million shares.
Previously, between the end of 2022 and early January 2023, when HDB's market price was around VND 14,000 per share, Mr. Thanh also successfully bought about 390,000 shares by order matching method.
At the investor conference to update business results in early November, HDBank's leaders said that the bank was granted a credit growth limit of 10.5% at the beginning of this year. In July, HDBank continued to expand the room to 15% and is currently at 29%, among the group granted the highest room this year.
