The announcement said that immediately after Pope Leo XIV - the 267th successor of St. Peter - was announced, many images created using artificial intelligence (AI) technology appeared online, describing his appearance or activities.

While many images may come from love, others are created to attract attention or generate views, causing information confusion.

The Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City warns: "Do not share or spread AI-generated images related to Pope Leo XIV, especially when the images do not have an authentic source from the Holy See.

Please prioritize using and sharing official images published by the Vatican, reputable Catholic news agencies, or local church media channels.

Catholic communicators, you have an important role to play in guiding the truth and preserving the sacred. Please always clearly distinguish between truth and the glamour created by technology."
