French President Emmanuel Macron pays State visit to Vietnam

At the invitation of President Luong Cuong, French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife paid a state visit to Vietnam from May 25-27.

Foreign Affairs Advisor, Special Representative of the President of France at the G20/G7 Senior Officials Meeting Emmanuel Bonne; Asia Advisor to the President of France, Mr. Walid Fouque; Strategic and Disarmament Advisor to the President of France, Mr. Xavier Chatel; Industry, Research and Innovation Advisor, French Presidency, Mr. Matthieu Landon; General Affairs Advisor, French Presidency, Ms. Ombeline Gras; International Communications Advisor, French Presidency, Mr. Jean-Noel Ladois.

President Emmanuel Macron was born on December 21, 1977. He graduated with a degree in Philosophy from Paris X-Nanterre University; Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po-Paris); French National School of Administration ENA, 2002-2004.

During the period 2004-2007, Mr. Emmanuel Macron was a financial inspector at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance.

From 2011-2012, he was a senior manager at Rothschild and Company.


From 2013 to July 2014, he held the position of Deputy Secretary General of the Office of President François Hollande.

From August 2014 to May 2016, he served as Minister of Economy and Finance under President François Hollande.

From May 2017 to present, Mr. Emmanuel Macron is President of the French Republic (2nd term from May 2022).
