For Chelsea, the sale of Felix will help them balance their salary fund and transfer budget, thereby speeding up the recruitment of Xavi Simons, a young star from RB Leipzig.
Chelsea have so far earned £5m from Felix's loan to Milan and are set to recoup almost all of the money they spent on him. Despite not meeting expectations, the Felix deal is likely to close in a way that is beneficial to the Blues.
Felix joined Chelsea on loan from Atletico Madrid, before being bought permanently in the summer of 2025 for a fee of £45m. However, the Portuguese failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, and was then loaned out to AC Milan for the second half of the 2024/25 season, where he scored three goals in 19 appearances.
