On the afternoon of July 28, the press conference before the final match of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship between the Vietnam U23 team and host Indonesia U23 team took place at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
At the beginning of the press conference, coach Kim Sang Sik said: "This will be a difficult match, it's too early to say anything about the result. We will prepare well and if the players do well as planned, we will win."
Evaluating U23 Indonesia, coach Kim Sang Sik said: "I think their squad will not change. Although U23 Indonesia played 120 minutes with Thailand and has many young players, with 3 days off, I think U23 Indonesia will not change anything."
"The path to the final of U23 Vietnam is considered easier than U23 Indonesia, what do you think?"
Coach Kim Sang Sik replied: "We played one less match and that is a small advantage. But the final match will be more tense and pressured, so fighting spirit is very important. The whole team will try to overcome this challenge."
For his part, midfielder Viktor Le shared: "We have prepared well, the whole team is taking each step one by one, ready for the final match and achieving good results, bringing the Championship Cup back to Vietnam."
Viktor Le has played in the last 3 matches as a striker and has not scored yet. Talking about this, the Vietnamese-Russian player shared: "I am always confident in every match. I don't think much about scoring. The more I think, the harder it will be to score. The important thing is to keep a relaxed playing spirit. If the goal comes, I will be very happy."
