In July, on social media platforms, many gratitude contents posted by young people have spread widely in the community. These are emotional sharing lines towards War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), about historical stories, images, articles, videos about practical actions showing gratitude. Ways of "telling" history or expressing gratitude through technology are the ways that young people today are approaching and conveying information in a trendy, emotional way.
In recent years, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Youth Union of Quang Phu commune, has proactively searched for, collected, and shared stories about the lives and sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, and martyrs in the area... to post on Facebook and Zalo. At the same time, he has created articles about the "remembering the source of water" activity, calling on union members and young people to perform acts of gratitude with elaborate content and images, touching the hearts of many people, helping the next generation better understand the value of peace and independence.
Mr. Trinh Ngoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Youth Union of Quang Phu commune, chose cyberspace to arouse and spread gratitude. |
Mr. Khanh shared that cyberspace is not only a place for entertainment or communication but also a huge treasure trove of information and a powerful tool to connect the community. In the work of the Youth Union, if we know how to skillfully take advantage of these advantages to carry out gratitude activities, it will bring many meanings and practical actions. If we know how to take advantage of the Internet and social networks, they will become the strength of a large forum to express gratitude sincerely and spread historical values to the community, instead of just traditional memorial activities. An interesting point is that social networks are becoming a "digital bridge" not only between the young generation but also a "bridge" between generations. "Thanks to posting on digital platforms, especially content calling for support and help for relatives of people with revolutionary contributions who are still in difficulty, many local people have known and proactively sought out the Youth Union to join hands and express gratitude," said Mr. Khanh.
When she was still active in the Youth Union, in her role as Deputy Secretary of the Cu M'gar District Youth Union (formerly), Ms. Vo Thi My Trinh (now Chief of the Office of the Cuor Dang Commune Party Committee) also boldly initiated online campaigns: "One good news every day, one beautiful story every week", "Sending gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of war invalids, martyrs, and families of people with meritorious services"; organizing volunteer activities to help living Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of martyrs in difficult circumstances and sharing stories and good deeds enthusiastically on forums and social networking sites of the local Youth Union. These activities attracted a large number of online community members, spread quickly and created a strong ripple effect. Ms. Trinh shared that using technology in memorial and gratitude activities has created unique experiences, closer to young people. This is also a way to gather young people, promote youth in the new era, and express gratitude in a creative way, suitable for the times.
"Gratitude letters" and calls for action to show gratitude are spreading across cyberspace. |
In the digital age, patriotism and gratitude are not only expressed through direct actions but also spread strongly through each post, image, video, and story on the Internet. With the support of technology, young people are free to create digital content, preserve and spread the noble values and morality of "remembering the source of water" of the nation in the language of the times.
With dynamism, creativity and sincerity, the young generation of Dak Lak province is contributing to creating a new look for gratitude activities and is a way to educate and inspire love for the homeland and country for generations in the community. However, besides the advantages, expressing gratitude on the Internet also requires caution and responsibility. Controlling information and avoiding incorrect or substandard content is necessary to ensure the value and meaning of gratitude activities.
