In a message posted on Telegram, Ukrzaliznytsia announced that it had welcomed Mark Rutte at the train station in Kyiv. The company emphasized that the visit was of particular importance, similar to previous visits by international leaders, as it demonstrated NATO's solidarity and support for Ukraine.

The visit took place just one day after Ukraine suffered one of the most intense Russian attacks in recent times, leaving more than 20 people dead and over 100 injured across several regions of the country.
Earlier, on May 22, Mr. Rutte reaffirmed his support for Ukraine and expressed his desire for a more equitable distribution of military support responsibilities for Ukraine among NATO members in Europe.
Speaking at a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, the NATO Secretary General said his goal was to ensure the burden of support was shared more equitably among allies, rather than being concentrated in the hands of a few countries.
According to Rutte, currently only about 6 or 7 NATO members are assuming the majority of the responsibility for supporting Ukraine.
Since US President Donald Trump cut military aid to Ukraine, Ukraine's European allies have become a key force in maintaining financial and military support for the country.
