Ho Chi Minh City has resolved obstacles for 35 out of 64 real estate projects.

Ho Chi Minh City has provided information on resolving obstacles and difficulties for real estate projects in the city.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has just released a report on resolving difficulties and obstacles in real estate projects as requested by the Prime Minister 's Task Force (Task Force 1435). To date, there are 64 projects with obstacles and 1 citizen's petition.

Ho Chi Minh City has reviewed and categorized the projects. Currently, obstacles have been resolved or no further requests have been made for 35 out of 64 projects. 29 out of 64 projects still require monitoring and processing, including 3 projects under the jurisdiction of central government agencies.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City has reported to the Government 's Task Force 1435 the results of resolving one citizen's petition in the former Thu Duc City.

Ho Chi Minh City is continuing to monitor and urge relevant units to report on implementation results, compiling them for consideration and resolution according to related groups of obstacles, including investment policies, planning, land, financial obligations, etc., as a basis for reporting the implementation results to the Government's Task Force 1435, as well as proposing issues beyond Ho Chi Minh City's authority.

On December 12, 2024, the Prime Minister established a Steering Committee to review and resolve difficulties and obstacles related to projects under Decision No. 1568/QD-TTg, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also issued Decision No. 936/QD-UBND dated March 12th on the establishment of a Special Task Force to review and resolve difficulties and obstacles for construction projects, land plots, and other projects in the city. Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, serves as the Task Force Head, with the goal of definitively resolving outstanding and stalled projects, and expeditiously implementing, completing, and putting them into use to combat waste and losses.

Regarding the real estate market situation in the second quarter of 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction announced that it has approved investment policies and selected investors for 14 projects. These include 9 commercial housing projects, 1 social housing project, and 3 land use right auctions for commercial housing construction, with a total area of ​​over 300,000 ^m² and a total investment of over 15,000 billion VND.

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City has 3 projects granted construction permits, with a total floor area of ​​over 397,000 ^m2 , 31 projects under construction, and 1 completed project. During the quarter, there were also 2 projects eligible to sell housing units under construction, comprising 1,389 units.
