Ho Chi Minh City I wins dramatically.

The highlight of Round 4 of the 2023 Thai Son Bac Women's National Championship was the clash between Than Khoang San Vietnam (Than KSVN) and Ho Chi Minh City I. With their youthful energy and agility, Than KSVN posed considerable difficulties for the defending champions Ho Chi Minh City I. However, the Southern representatives proved effective in attack.

The team played a coherent game, creating opportunities, but Thuy Trang and Tuyet Ngan unfortunately missed them. However, coach Kim Chi's team didn't have to wait too long. In the 44th minute, from a clever corner kick by Hong Nhung, Cu Thi Huynh Nhu rushed in and volleyed accurately to give TP.HCM I the lead.

In the second half, Than KSVN intensified their attack in an attempt to find an equalizer. However, the team from the mining region still lacked a bit of sharpness in crucial situations to score. Even when opportunities were clear, Than KSVN incredibly missed them.

In the 88th minute, the referee determined that Cù Thị Huỳnh Như had fouled Nguyễn Thị Thuý. The Than KSVN players faced significant pressure from the penalty spot. Dương Thị Vân failed to beat Kim Thanh. Ultimately, TP.HCM I won 1-0 and secured the top spot in the bảng after round 4.

Hanoi I was predicted to face considerable difficulties against Thai Nguyen T&T in their first match of round 4. However, the team from the capital city quickly achieved what they needed. In the 10th minute, Thanh Nha made a brilliant touch after a long pass from a teammate, scoring the opening goal for Hanoi I.

Just 15 minutes later, Thanh Nha once again made an impressive run before crossing the ball for Hai Yen to head in and double the lead. In the second half, Thai Nguyen T&T's efforts were rewarded. In the 52nd minute, Hoai Luong combined with My Anh in a free-kick, and the midfielder finished skillfully to reduce the deficit to 1-2 for Thai Nguyen T&T. But Kim Anh's beautiful goal in injury time sealed a 3-1 victory for Hanoi I.

In the other match of the early round, Son La took the lead with an impressive shot from Hoai Vy. However, a regrettable mistake by goalkeeper Minh Anh allowed Diem Huynh to equalize 1-1 for Ho Chi Minh City II in injury time of the first half. In the second half, the situation changed as Ho Chi Minh City II attacked effectively. They scored three more goals and won 4-1 against Son La.

In the final match at 5:00 PM, Hanoi II played hard and tried to avoid conceding an early goal. However, the red-shirted players only managed to hold out for 27 minutes. Lan Anh opened the scoring for Phong Phu Ha Nam with a close-range shot. In the 38th minute, Le Thi Kim Oanh scored an own goal while trying to stop an opponent, leaving Hanoi II 2-0 down. No further goals were scored in the second half, and Phong Phu Ha Nam secured all three points against the young team from the capital.
