The People's Committee of Tay Nam Ward (Ho Chi Minh City) has just issued a notice inviting investment in the urban area north of Ring Road 4 in the ward, with a total investment capital of over 29,647 billion VND .
The project covers an area of nearly 281 hectares, including approximately 272 hectares of land and nearly 9 hectares of water surface. The goal is to develop a new urban area with integrated technical and social infrastructure, contributing to the efficient utilization of land resources in the area and promoting local economic development.
According to the plan, the project will include residential areas, mixed-use buildings, and a commercial and service system such as offices, shops, services, accommodation, and tourism facilities. In addition, there will be educational facilities, integrated technical infrastructure, and a system of urban green spaces, parks, and buffer zones.
Regarding the timeline, within the first three years, the investor must focus on completing the legal procedures for investment, providing support/compensation to secure land handover, investing in technical infrastructure, and handing over resettlement land (if any).
Within the first 10 years, the entire area's technical infrastructure will be completed, along with the construction of social infrastructure facilities and a portion of commercial housing, social housing, commercial and service facilities, and urban public works. The entire project is expected to be completed within no more than 12 years.
The Southwest Ward was established by merging An Tay Ward (formerly Ben Cat City) with parts of An Lap and Thanh Tuyen communes (formerly Dau Tieng District, Binh Duong Province). It is currently the largest ward in Ho Chi Minh City, covering approximately 120 square kilometers, possessing a large land area and significant potential for future urban, industrial, and logistics development.
A prominent large-scale project in this area is the An Tay cluster of four projects, including the North An Tay, East An Tay, and West An Tay urban areas, and the An Tay General Port, which Sun Group launched at the end of last year. This complex covers a total area of approximately 724 hectares, with a total investment of over 51,160 billion VND , spanning across Tay Nam and Phu An wards.
