(NLDO) - On December 5, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee sent a document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requesting permission to organize fireworks displays for the New Year 2025.
Accordingly, in order to serve the entertainment needs of people and tourists to welcome the new year 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee proposed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense to grant permission for Ho Chi Minh City to organize fireworks displays on New Year's Eve 2025.

Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City proposed 3 fireworks display locations, including one high-altitude location at the Saigon River Tunnel Area, Thu Duc City; two low-altitude locations at Dam Sen Cultural Park, District 11 and Van Phuc Urban Area, Thu Duc City.

To welcome the new year 2025, in addition to the fireworks display, Ho Chi Minh City plans to organize a countdown program to welcome the new year 2025 on the night of December 31, 2024 at Nguyen Hue walking street, Ben Bach Dang park and the floating logo on the Saigon River.
At the same time, organize art performances in districts 12, Tan Phu, Binh Tan, Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Nha Be, Can Gio respectively on the two nights of December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025.
