Ho Chi Minh City fines 5 organizations and individuals for violations in medical examination and treatment.

Notably, Dr. Le Som Lan (specializing in obstetrics and gynecology), owner of the Le Som Lan Clinic (Som Champa Serey, located at 141 Tran Binh Trong Street, Ward 2, District 5), was fined 9 million VND for practicing medicine without registering as required by law. The clinic's signage lacked the basic information required by law; and the names of the departments and wards did not match the operating license. This is not the first time the clinic owner has been fined. The previous fine was in February 2023 for similar violations.

Doctor Cao Huu Thinh was fined for leaking patient information.

Specifically, Dr. Cao Huu Thinh, practicing at Dr. Le Som Lan's clinic, was fined 24.5 million VND for disclosing patient information, medical records, and other details; and for advertising specialized products, goods, and services without prior approval from the competent state authority. Dr. Cao Huu Thinh was also ordered to remove and delete the unapproved advertisements. In addition to practicing at the aforementioned address, according to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health , Dr. Cao Huu Thinh is also registered to practice at Tu Du Hospital and a private hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Korean Star Cosmetic Surgery Hospital Co., Ltd. (156A Ly Thai To Street, Ward 1, District 3) was fined 90 million VND by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate for violations at Sao Han 1 Cosmetic Clinic (781/C5-C7 Le Hong Phong Street, Ward 12, District 10). Sao Han 1 Cosmetic Clinic provided medical examination and treatment services without an operating license, resulting in its operations being suspended for 18 months.

Viva Beauty Dental Co., Ltd. (Dental Clinic, located at 46 Dien Bien Phu Street , Da Kao Ward, District 1) was fined 12 million VND for operating with a signboard but lacking the basic information required by law; listing the names of departments and wards in the clinic incorrectly according to its operating license; and maintaining patient records but failing to record information fully as required by law.

Diamond Quality of Life Co., Ltd. (56 Nguyen Huy Tu Street, Da Kao Ward, District 1) was fined 57 million VND for violations at Branch 4 (Diamond Obstetrics and Pediatrics Center, Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, Pediatrics Clinic, Diagnostic Imaging Clinic, and Laboratory; located at 9 Tran Quoc Thao Street, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3). Branch 4 violated regulations by having practitioners not register their medical practice as required by law; and maintaining medical records but failing to record information fully as required by law.
