Ho Chi Minh City presents 1 billion VND in gifts to Dak Nong border district

Ho Chi Minh City agencies and units, together with people, officers and soldiers of border posts in Dak Mil district, participated in the program "Skillful mass mobilization - Connecting the border"

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, representatives of agencies and units of Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Nong province, together with people, officers and soldiers of border posts in Dak Mil district.

The delegation presented many gifts to border posts located in Dak Mil district.

Within the framework of the program, the delegation presented water purifiers, computers, printers, wells, water filters, solar lamps, health insurance cards, agricultural tools, scholarships for students... with a total cost of more than 1 billion VND to students, people in difficult circumstances, officers and soldiers of border posts, communes and militia posts in Dak Mil district.

The delegation presented 1,000 national flags under the "Pride in National Flag" program of the Lao Dong Newspaper, bringing the total number of flags presented to Dak Nong to 32,800 - the most among the Central Highlands provinces.

The gifts have contributed to sharing the difficulties and hardships, encouraging officers and soldiers of border posts stationed in Dak Mil district.

The gifts are the hearts of the people, those working in mass mobilization and businesses of the city named after Uncle Ho sent to the people, officers and soldiers of border posts, communes and militia posts in Dak Mil district.

The delegation awarded 20 scholarships to poor students, each gift including 1 million VND/scholarship and 1 bicycle.

The program "Skillful Civil Affairs - Connecting Borders" has been organized by the Steering Committee for coordinating activities between the armed forces and socio-political organizations of Ho Chi Minh City for many years in the city and provinces.

The program contributes to raising awareness among cadres, party members, union members, association members and people of all walks of life about the importance of organizing and implementing the mass movement to participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.

The delegation also presented 1,000 national flags under the program "Proud of the National Flag" launched and implemented by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

The program demonstrates the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude" to take care of the material and spiritual life of policy families, ethnic minorities, cadres, soldiers, union members, association members, and people in difficult circumstances.
