Thu Duc City announces results of 6th grade entrance exam

Accordingly, from 9am this morning, June 22, parents can access the results of the 6th grade entrance exam at: www.tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.

In addition, the Departmentof Education and Training of Thu Duc City also announced the exam questions and answers for the 6th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year. These are the exam questions and answers used to enroll 6th grade students at Hoa Lu Secondary School, Binh Tho Secondary School and Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School.
Specifically as follows:

Test questions and answers for grade 6 entrance exam, multiple choice section

Test questions and answers for grade 6 reading - comprehension - writing

Exam questions and answers for grade 6 math - logical thinking

Test questions and answers for grade 6 English section

According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, the survey is designed with 2 parts:

Multiple choice test (in English), time limit is 30 minutes. Students answer 20 multiple choice questions about natural sciences , social sciences and common life knowledge.

Essay section, test time is 60 minutes, content includes mathematics and logical thinking, reading comprehension and writing, English.

Mr. Nguyen added: "The 6th grade entrance exam ensures that it closely follows the knowledge and skills standards of the 2006 General Education Program, approaching the 2018 General Education Program, focusing on applying learned knowledge and skills to solve practical problems, and differentiating students. The exam preparation committee has selected materials that are quite close and familiar to students. Including local education content, specifically content related to Thu Duc City in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general.

In general, the exam requires students to have the ability to apply knowledge, skills and reasoning ability. These are abilities that are cultivated and trained through the learning process, not just "test preparation" overnight.

June 27: Announcement of admission scores for grade 6

It is known that 2,900 students registered to take the survey for grade 6 at Hoa Lu Secondary School, Binh Tho Secondary School and Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School. These are schools implementing the advanced integration model.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Vinh Nguyen, on June 27, the department will announce the admission scores for grade 6. If candidates need to review the survey, they can submit an application to the school that registered for the survey from June 23 to 24, 2024.

Admission criteria are as follows:

Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School recruits 9 grade 6 classes (including at least 4 integrated English classes) with 315 students.

Hoa Lu Secondary School: recruiting 11 6th grade classes (including at least 2 integrated English classes) with 385 students.

Binh Tho Secondary School: recruiting 8 grade 6 classes (including at least 3 integrated English classes) with 280 students.
