The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has assigned relevant agencies and units to develop action programs to implement the resolutions of the 8th Plenum of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in order to put the resolutions into practice.
On December 4th, the Politburo and the Secretariat organized a national conference to study, learn, and thoroughly understand the Resolution of the 8th Plenum of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The conference was held in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation, with the central hub at the Dien Hong Meeting Room ( National Assembly Building) connecting to provincial and city Party committees, Party committees directly under the Central Committee, and extending the transmission to the grassroots level.
Attending and directing the conference were: Comrade Vo Van Thuong, Member of the Political Bureau, President of the Republic; Comrade Pham Minh Chinh , Member of the Political Bureau, Prime Minister; and Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Member of the Political Bureau, Standing Member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Department.
Attending the meeting from Ho Chi Minh City were: Nguyen Van Nen, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Le Thanh Hai, former Member of the Political Bureau, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Thien Nhan, former Member of the Political Bureau, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Phan Van Mai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Nguyen Ho Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. Also present were leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and Ho Chi Minh City from various periods; members of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee...
At the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai stated that, following this conference, the most important step in putting the resolutions into practice is to develop an action plan to effectively implement the resolutions, in accordance with the characteristics and conditions of Ho Chi Minh City.
Based on that, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee directed the development of action programs to implement the Resolutions of the 8th Conference of the Central Committee of the 13th Party Congress.
In this regard, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee assigned responsibility to the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to preside over the drafting of two action programs of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to implement the resolution: On continuing to innovate and improve the quality of social policies to meet the requirements of the cause of national construction and defense in the new period; and the National Defense Strategy in the new situation.
At the same time, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Ho Chi Minh City is tasked with leading the effort to advise on the action program of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to implement the resolution on continuing to promote the tradition of national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous, civilized, and happy.
The Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee is tasked with leading the effort to advise on the action program of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to implement the resolution on continuing to build and promote the role of intellectuals to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period.
The Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee requested that the agencies and units assigned to advise on the action programs of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to implement the Resolutions of the 8th Conference of the Central Committee of the 13th Party Congress, promptly finalize the drafts and submit them for comments according to the correct procedures and regulations so that the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee can promptly issue the action program in December 2023.
In addition, the Thu Duc City Party Committee and the district and ward Party Committees, the Party Committees at the grassroots level directly under the City Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and political and social organizations of Ho Chi Minh City continue to direct the organization of research, study, understanding and dissemination of the Resolutions of the 8th Conference of the Central Committee of the 13th Party Congress to cadres, Party members, union members, and association members through appropriate forms for each target group, ensuring seriousness, practicality and effectiveness.
Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai expressed confidence that, with the high level of unity and consensus within the entire Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the support and response of the city's people, and the highest political determination, Ho Chi Minh City will certainly successfully implement the action program to carry out the resolutions and conclusions of the 8th Plenum of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
