The Ba Chẽ District OCOP Product Evaluation Council recently held a meeting to evaluate and classify OCOP products in the district.

At the meeting, the District OCOP Product Ranking Council conducted an evaluation and ranking of Ba Che Ba Kich Tea, produced by Thanh Nam Hai Trade and Service Cooperative, located in Lang Da village, Thanh Lam commune, in collaboration with several units inside and outside the district.

Ba Chẽ District has long been known as a land rich in natural resources, blessed with many precious medicinal plants; it has a clean climate, fertile soil, and is particularly suitable for growing valuable medicinal plants, including the famous purple ginseng, known as an herb with superior quality that enhances vitality and health thanks to its unique soil conditions.

Recognizing the growing demand for health-supporting products made from herbs, especially Ba Kich (Morinda officinalis), Thanh Nam Hai Trade and Service Cooperative has developed Ba Che Ba Kich Tea with the desire to provide consumers with a beverage that is both nutritious and convenient for daily health care.

The product is made from 100% purple Ba Kich root grown in the district; it is produced and packaged as tea bags, each weighing 2g, with a net weight of approximately 40g per box; the packaging and design are attractive…

With a serious work ethic, the Ba Chẽ District OCOP Product Ranking Council conducted an evaluation using a 100-point scoring system for products, comprising three steps: Product and Community Strength; Marketing Potential; and Product Quality. As a result, the Ba Chẽ Ba Kích Tea product from the Thành Nam Hải Trade and Service Cooperative received a score of 61.2 points from the District Product Ranking Council.

Based on the results achieved, after completing the procedures and documents, the Ba Chẽ District Product Evaluation and Classification Council issued a Decision recognizing Ba Chẽ Ba Kích Tea as a 3-star OCOP product at the district level.
