(Dan Tri Newspaper) - A salary of 20 million VND per month is considered high compared to the general average in Bac Lieu , but many companies are still unable to recruit workers.
According to an update from the Bac Lieu Provincial Employment Service Center (under the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs) on January 4th, from mid-2024 to the present, several companies in the area have recruited many workers with relatively high salaries compared to the general income level in the locality.
Specifically, a company trading in commercial shrimp is hiring shrimp farming workers with a salary of 10 million VND/month; another company is hiring bag machine operators for packaging production and business with a salary of 10-20 million VND/month.

A trading company is hiring a sales supervisor with a salary of over 22 million VND/month; a high-tech agricultural company is hiring a sales representative with a salary of 30-35 million VND/month.
A foreign-owned garment company is recruiting hundreds of unskilled workers to work as seamstresses, earning between 5 and 7 million VND per month.
Many companies in other sectors such as fisheries, construction, agricultural supplies, building materials, etc., also recruit many workers with average salaries below 10 million VND/month.
In addition to salary, most companies offer employee benefits such as housing, insurance, transportation support, holiday bonuses, vacation time, etc.
However, the updated list shows that some companies have not been able to recruit the required number of workers for several months.
Leaders of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Bac Lieu province once noted that many companies recruiting workers require experience in production and business. Many workers do not meet this requirement.
Regarding salaries, the company pays no less than the regional minimum wage, but employees must meet many other performance targets to receive a higher salary. Therefore, when hired, employees often fail to meet the requirements.
Leaders of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs recommend that workers need to enhance their responsibility, proactively improve their knowledge, skills, and experience, etc., in order to meet the requirements of employers.
