One of the ideal places to escape the summer heat that the Northern mountainous region can visit when traveling to the Northwest is Suoi Giang, Yen Bai. Located on the Fansipan mountain range at an altitude of more than 1,400m above sea level, with a cool and airy climate all year round, Suoi Giang is likened to a miniature Da Lat or Sapa. Suoi Giang is famous far and wide for its ancient Shan Tuyet tea forest, the tea trees are 300 - 400 years old, tea pickers have to climb to the top to pick young buds. Suoi Giang tea hills also have their own unique charm. Each row of tea is like green silk strips running towards the horizon, blending with the white of the clouds, the yellow of the sun, the clear blue of the sky, the deep blue of the mountains... creating a beautiful natural picture that captivates people.
Nestled in the middle of the green tea fields are the peaceful H'Mong villages, with a gentle and simple lifestyle. Visiting the village is an opportunity for you to enjoy delicious local specialties such as hill chicken, black chicken, armpit pig, sticky rice, smoked buffalo meat, wild vegetable soup... fresh and delicious dishes with the true "organic" taste, with a unique flavor of the mountains and forests that you will never find in the city. Anyone who has ever been to Tu Le can easily fall in love with this poetic land of the Northwestern tourist region. The most special feature of Tu Le is the terraced fields stretching endlessly along the mountainside, each season has its own charm.
During the flood season (April and May), the entire field is covered in glistening water under the sunlight, the brown mud color blends with the green rice seedlings to create a peaceful and prosperous picture. During the harvest season (September and October), Tu Le is dyed yellow with the color of ripe rice. In late summer and early autumn, Tu Le rice fields are in their prime, lush green, the endless green color stretching from the valley to the mountain top, as if reaching the sky.
In particular, Tu Le sticky rice has become a specialty because of its stickiness and aroma. Tu Le rice is processed into green rice, five-color sticky rice or bamboo rice, which are truly wonderful dishes that you must try when traveling to the Northwest.

The sticky rice has 5 colors of green, red, purple, yellow and white, dyed with wild flowers and four types of wild leaves, creating a very unique flavor that everyone who eats it will enjoy. Another interesting "specialty" of Tu Le that cannot be missed is the custom of bathing naked in hot mineral springs. Blessed by nature with a beautiful hot spring, bathing in mineral springs has become a fascinating cultural feature of Tu Le. Every afternoon, after work, many Thai families in Tu Le invite each other to go to the hot springs to bathe together. Regardless of age or gender, everyone happily soaks in the hot spring water, shaking off the fatigue after a hard day's work. The hot mineral spring is located right at the foot of Khau Pha Pass, just a few steps from the national highway. When visiting Tu Le, visitors should not miss this interesting experience.
