Experience Korean culture, tourism and entertainment in Ho Chi Minh City

On June 21 and 22, at GEM Center, Ho Chi Minh City, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea organized the Korea Travel Festa 2025 - the largest festival promoting Korean culture and tourism in 2025.

The event brings cultural, tourism and entertainment experiences imbued with Korean culture, expected to reach more than 70,000 visitors, affirming the strong attraction of Korean culture to Vietnamese tourists.

This year's Korea Travel Festa 2025 event was held in Ho Chi Minh City with more than 30 booths from leading units in the fields of tourism, culture, and entertainment of Vietnam and Korea, bringing interesting experiences to visitors.

According to the Organizing Committee, one of the highlights at Korea Travel Festa 2025 is the LCK (League of Legends Champions Korea) experience area - the prestigious professional tournament of the team game League of Legends (LoL), also a symbol of the Korean esports industry .

The event brought together the top LCK players to interact directly with fans in Ho Chi Minh City, including: Lehends, Kingen, Ucal, LazyFeel - the first foreign player of Vietnamese nationality to compete in LCK, along with Smeb - a legendary former LCK champion.

The event also had the enthusiastic participation of many typical Korean enterprises such as Amorepacific, Nongshim, Woori Bank, combining tourism promotion with specific content of each industry.

Amorepacific cosmetics group (owner of famous brands such as Innisfree, Sulwhasoo, Laneige...) brings a beauty experience space with the theme of K-Beauty associated with Jeju Island tourism - the birthplace of typical natural products.

In addition to the vibrant presence of Korean businesses, the Korea Travel Festa 2025 event also has the participation of many leading airlines and travel companies from Vietnam and Korea with many special incentive programs.

In particular, customers who register for a tour directly at the event will receive a gift of a high-class travel suitcase and thousands of attractive gifts from the Korea Tourism Organization and participating units.

For the first time in Vietnam, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has cooperated with Klook Vietnam to launch the sale of Korean tourism products on the Shopee e-commerce platform - one of the most popular online shopping channels today.

One of the most anticipated highlights at Korea Travel Festa 2025 is the series of large-scale art performances, bringing together prominent names from both K-pop and V-pop, bringing an explosive and emotional atmosphere to the audience.

Within the framework of the Korea Travel Festa 2025 event, on June 21, 2025, the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam held a ceremony to appoint Mr. Kim Sang-Sik - Head Coach of the Vietnam National Men's Football Team - as Honorary Ambassador of Korean Tourism in Vietnam.

As the Honorary Ambassador of Korean Tourism, Mr. Kim Sang-Sik will accompany the Korean Tourism Organization in activities to promote the image of the land of kimchi closer to the Vietnamese people through creative communication campaigns and cultural and sports exchange programs in the coming time.

“Vietnam is currently one of Korea's key tourism markets. With the Korea Travel Festa 2025 event, we have built a diverse experience program, not only for young people who love K-Culture but also for families and the middle-aged. We hope that the event will contribute to arousing interest and positive feelings towards Korean tourism in the hearts of the Vietnamese public," said Mr. Kim Jong Hoon, Acting Deputy Director General of the Korea Tourism Organization.

2024 marks an important milestone when for the first time the number of two-way tourists between Vietnam and Korea exceeds 5 million, a major step forward in bilateral cooperation. Of which, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Korea reached more than 511 thousand and the number of Korean visitors to Vietnam reached more than 4.6 million. In the first 5 months of 2025 alone, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Korea reached about 224,000, an increase of nearly 11% over the same period in 2024, showing great potential for tourism development between the two countries.
