The first rest stop on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway through Binh Thuan province is being constructed at an accelerated pace, with a final deadline for its operation before the Lunar New Year.

On the afternoon of December 28th, the working group of Project Management Board 7 conducted a site inspection and held a meeting with the contractor regarding the progress of the rest stop at Km 205+092 on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, the section passing through Ham Tri commune, Ham Thuan Bac district (Binh Thuan province).

At the meeting, the relevant parties agreed to put essential facilities, restrooms, and parking lots into temporary operation before the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Ha, Deputy Director of Project Management Board 7, said that with only days left, the construction unit needs to closely monitor the progress and urgently carry out the items at the rest stop simultaneously.

The contractor must focus intensely, mobilize materials, equipment, machinery, personnel, and finances to accelerate the construction progress of the two rest stops (one on each side of the road, running parallel - PV), and put them into operation.

"The access roads, speed bumps, restrooms, and temporary parking areas must be completed and put into operation by January 20th to serve the travel needs of people during Tet," Mr. Ha said.

Mr. Bui Duy Anh, Head of the Road Management Office IV.1 (under Road Management Area IV), stated that in order to meet the operational deadline, investors and contractors must urgently complete the traffic organization plan, directional signs, and connecting roads to and from the expressway leading to the rest stops.

At the end of August 2024, after the land was handed over, the contractor commenced the project for the rest stop at Km 205+092.

The rest stop will be built in multiple sections, including an area with electric charging stations to serve the needs of travelers and drivers.

Construction work is underway to level the ground for the access road from the highway to the rest stop.

The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, passing through Binh Thuan province, is planned to have two rest stops at Km 205+092 (Ham Thuan Bac district), which are currently under construction.

Specifically, the rest stop at Km 144+560 (Tuy Phong district) has not yet started construction due to the lack of available land.

The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, spanning 100.1km through Binh Thuan province, is planned with two rest stops at Km 205+092 and Km 144+560.

The winning bidder for the rest stop at Km 205+092 is the consortium of Thanh Thanh Nam - Chau Thanh - Viet Han - Saigon Investment - Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong .

The investor for the rest stop at Km 144+560 is the joint venture of FUTABUSLINES - Thanh Hiep Phat, which won the bid to construct, operate, and manage the facility.
