On the morning of May 12, at Tu Dam Pagoda ( Hue City), the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City solemnly held the Buddha's Birthday Ceremony of Buddhist calendar 2569 - Gregorian calendar 2025 with the participation of thousands of monks, nuns, Buddhists and representatives of Hue City leaders.
In the solemn atmosphere, incense sticks were in the air, the bells and drums of the Prajnaparamita were solemnly played, the Venerable monks burned incense, the group of young women of the Buddhist family offered flowers. The monks, nuns, and Buddhists chanted the repentance for the Buddha's birthday and the Four Great Vows together.
The Ritual Committee performs the traditional Buddha's Birthday ceremony of Buddhism in the ancient capital of Hue.
Before the Buddha's Birthday Ceremony at Tu Dam Pagoda, on the afternoon of May 11, thousands of people including Venerable monks, Venerable monks, Venerable monks, Buddhists, and a large number of locals and tourists in Hue City participated in the Buddha procession to pray for "National peace, world peace". The procession started from Dieu De Pagoda in Hue City.
The procession carried the national flag, Buddhist flag and a flower-shaped Buddha float, walking through the streets of Hue City for about 4km. On the Buddha procession route, many pagodas and private homes set up altars, burned incense and rang bells and drums to welcome and make offerings to the Buddha. In particular, at the head of the Buddha procession were cars decorated with sparkling and brilliant lights depicting the stories of Buddha's birthday, Buddha's family, Buddha's manifestation... parading through the streets of Hue City for people to worship.
