In recent years, more and more women have chosen silk to wear during the New Year celebrations, aiming to highlight their self-esteem, elegance, and sophistication.

According to designer Vu Tuong Vi, silk was chosen as the main material because of its lightweight, soft, flowing properties and the breathable, comfortable feel it provides when worn for extended periods, suitable for the fast-paced lifestyle and frequent movement during the early days of the new year.

The designs are processed using a direct draping technique on the fabric, allowing the silhouette to be formed in harmonious proportions, flowing softly according to the drape of the material itself, rather than imposing rigid structures. As a result, the garments maintain a balance between aesthetics and the wearer's practical experience.

During the Lunar New Year holidays, the most suitable choice remains designs that offer comfort and ease of movement, are versatile enough for various occasions, yet still maintain a neat and elegant appearance.
Therefore, the freesize silhouette continues to be a consistent choice in her designs, as it respects diverse body types while allowing the wearer to maintain a neat and elegant appearance without feeling restricted.

First runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, Quynh Anh, appeared in a design by designer Vu Tuong Vi, from the "Phon Hoa" collection - a project that took nearly a year to complete.
This collection focuses on basic silhouettes, material handling, and practicality, aiming for garments that can be worn on a variety of occasions, rather than just serving a short-term trend or moment.

The colors in the design are intentionally chosen and combined in terms of shade to create a harmonious and visually appealing overall effect.
According to the designer, Lunar New Year outfits can utilize bright, energetic color palettes, but these should still be restrained to ensure elegance and versatility in various situations.

The love of nature is expressed through motifs inspired by flowers and plants, combined with geometric shapes and abstract forms. This approach gives the design visual depth and a unique character, rather than using familiar, purely decorative motifs.
Therefore, Tet holiday outfits can prioritize subtly crafted patterns, avoiding stereotypical illustrations to create a fresh and modern feel.

According to the designer, a beautiful outfit is not about how elaborate it is, but about its ability to provide comfort and boost the wearer's confidence.
The designs in the collection are aimed at female customers with a consistent style, who prefer silk fabrics and soft silhouettes, and who value long-term usability rather than chasing short-term trends.
For Vu Tuong Vi, Tet fashion is not just about looking good, but also about how each person chooses the energy they want to carry into the new year.
Vu Tuong Vi graduated from the London College for Design & Fashion - Hanoi.
The 9X designer quickly pursued a creative direction focusing on the wearer's emotions and practicality in everyday life. Vu Tuong Vi's designs have been chosen by several artists such as Thanh Lam, Ho Le Thu, My Duyen, and Thanh Van for their appearances at events.
