The Young Photography Festival is held every two years, for authors aged 18-35.
2025 marks the 6th time the event has been held, directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, coordinated by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , and the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports. This is a meaningful event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized that in the realism photography category, the works displayed and awarded prizes truly and vividly reflected the beauty of Vietnamese people, culture and landscapes.

Through the lens of photography, the authors have captured moments of authentic life, full of creative energy, from new vitality in the countryside and urban areas, to the creative innovation and modernization of the country.
In the conceptual photography genre, young authors express their thoughts on contemporary life issues, thoughtful and creative perspectives on the relationship between humans and the community, nature and technology. These works demonstrate the spirit of criticism, exploration and deep artistic sense of today's young generation of artists - those who are constantly searching for new visual languages to express emotions, thoughts and values of the times.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's Festival continued to receive positive responses from young photographers nationwide, with 2,009 entries.
The Art Council selected 124 works (realistic photography: 110 works, conceptual photography: 24 works) by 73 authors for display. Of these, 17 best works were awarded prizes.
As a result, the two works that won the Gold Medal were the photo series “Brightening Green Aspiration” by author Tran Minh Luong (Can Tho) and the photo series “Behind the Score” by author Phan Minh Tho (Gia Lai).
