The "National Journalism Award on Finance" contest has been held since 2006 and 2023 is the 8th award ceremony of the contest to honor outstanding journalistic works and dedicated authors writing about the operation and development of the Finance industry.

Through the contest, we aim to affirm the role of the Finance sector in financial and budgetary work, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Through press works on the Finance sector, we can propose practical and effective solutions to contribute to building a strong national finance.
Through each period, the contest has attracted increasingly enthusiastic and responsible responses from many press agencies nationwide. The number of press agencies and authors submitting articles to the contest and the quality of the articles have increased each year.
According to Mr. Pham Thu Phong, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, Chairman of the Financial Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Financial Times, the works in this year's contest have good content in disseminating financial policies and laws, and the results of the implementation of the tasks of the Finance sector.

The contest received more than 2,000 works covering all four types of journalism (print, radio, television, and online), with a variety of journalism genres such as reportage, interviews, and investigations. This year's works have good propaganda content about financial policies and laws, and the results of the financial sector's performance.
The entries must be topical; reflect the achievements and contributions of the Finance sector to the cause of national construction and defense; and propose practical solutions to help remove difficulties and obstacles in bringing financial mechanisms and policies into life.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Ministry of Finance's leaders, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Financial Journalists Association in organizing and implementing the National Journalism Award on the Finance sector. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance's leaders congratulated the journalists who won awards at this year's competition.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi, this year's competition is meaningful, associated with the event of the Finance sector celebrating 78 years of establishment and development. The nominations for this year's award have covered all economic and financial fields and outstanding events, further clarifying the milestones in the 78-year history of the Finance sector, affirming the role of the sector in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
Through 2 preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee and the Final Council of the National Journalism Awards for Finance selected 4 A prizes, 16 B prizes, 21 C prizes to award and 10 collective prizes for press agencies with good quality entries and a large number of entries.
