The literary and artistic composition contest on the theme: "Son La 130 years of formation and development" is one of the practical activities to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the founding of Son La province (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025). This is a large-scale, wide-ranging contest, launched nationwide, aiming to create revolutionary momentum, confidence and excitement of the people in the leadership of the Party and State, at the same time contributing to encouraging and motivating cadres, party members, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Son La to enthusiastically compete to achieve achievements to welcome the success of the Party Congresses at all levels, the 16th Provincial Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term and towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

After more than 4 months of launching, as of September 20, 2025, the Organizing Committee of the Contest has received a total of 331 works from 118 authors from 9 majors of Literature and Arts registered to participate in the contest. The works submitted to the contest were all carefully invested by the authors, the works were newly composed within the launching time frame, the quality of the works was focused on improving; ensuring compliance with the standards and conditions for awarding the Organizing Committee and the Jury. Many works reflect and honor the achievements of the people of all ethnic groups in Son La province in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland, especially the achievements in the renovation of Son La province.

As a result, the Organizing Committee selected 77 outstanding works to award prizes, including: 08 A prizes; 17 B prizes; 23 C prizes; 29 consolation prizes.
