Previously, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 2392/QD-BVHTTDL dated July 8, 2025 on retirement to enjoy social insurance benefits from October 1, 2025 for Ms. Ly Phuong Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong chaired the ceremony to hand over the retirement decision to enjoy social insurance benefits to Deputy Director of the Cinema Department Ly Phuong Dung.
Speaking at the decision-giving ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong highly appreciated and thanked Deputy Director Ly Phuong Dung for her contributions to the field of cinema as well as to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
During more than 30 years of working, Deputy Director Ly Phuong Dung has always strived to complete assigned tasks, contributing to the development of the industry.
"Looking back at 30 years of dedication, it can be affirmed that comrade Ly Phuong Dung has excellently completed the assigned tasks," Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong affirmed.

Expressing his joy at the development of Vietnamese cinema in recent times, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong said that this initial success was due to the positive contributions of the Department of Cinema, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, including Deputy Director Ly Phuong Dung.
The Deputy Minister expressed his hope that after retiring, with her extensive knowledge and experience, Comrade Ly Phuong Dung will continue to contribute to the Cinema industry. The Deputy Minister also suggested that the Cinema Department in the near future will continue to coordinate with Comrade Ly Phuong Dung to "exploit" her experience and knowledge, serving the state management work as well as developing the cinema industry.
"In the field of art, it can be said that the older you are and the more years you have worked, the more experience you have to contribute to the industry. Therefore, retirement is just a transition for comrade Ly Phuong Dung to continue to have the conditions to contribute and accompany the development of the country's cinema", Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong expressed.

Affirming that Deputy Director Ly Phuong Dung is an enthusiastic and experienced officer who has been attached to and has made many contributions to the Department of Cinema, Director Dang Tran Cuong expressed his hope that after retirement, Deputy Director Ly Phuong Dung will continue to accompany the Department of Cinema, contributing to the development of the country's cinema.

Ms. Ly Phuong Dung was born in 1969 in Hanoi . She has more than 30 years of experience in the film industry, as a reporter for Vietnam Cinema Newspaper, a specialist and then Head of the Art Department of the Department of Cinema. From November 2017 to present, Ms. Ly Phuong Dung has been appointed as Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema.
